Our "General Rules Of Engagement":
Students enrolled in any training program conducted at CGT (regardless of instructor) are expected to pay for their own gas and rental costs as well as the gas and rental charges of the instructor.
These charges are presented independently of possible travel and lodging expenses imposed and communicated by the instructor.
Instructor costs are divided evenly between students and added to the individual students' bill.
For guided dives, divers are charged for the gas consumed by the guide, in addition to the guiding fee and their own rentals and gas. As with our training programs, these charges are divided evenly between group members and subsequently billed individually. There is no rental costs for guides associated with guided dives.
Please refer to the rates section of our website for more information.
We are happy to provide detailed quotes upon request.
Our check-in procedures:
Caribbean Gas Training (CGT) is positioned as the technical diving service provider for Bonaire Dive & Adventure (BDA), www.bonairediveandadventure.com.
Therefore we ask you to comply with the following requirements:
You only need to check in with BDA and supply the required paperwork, such as (Nitrox) diving certification, liability release and credit card deposit slip, if you intend to use any of BDA's services. Their services encompass single tank air/nitrox shore- or west coast boat dives and will give you access to all amenities of a large, well-organized recreational dive resort, such as two fast boats, clean rinse tanks, freshwater showers and full tanks 24/7.
In other words: If you intend to use BDA's pier only for your dives or training with us, then filling their liability release is enough.
You'll need to fill our own liability release under all circumstances.
Paperwork to bring for Caribbean Gas Training check-in:
Diving certification for the desired level
Passport
We will scan and keep your passport on file to streamline permit applications for dives to the Salt Pier, Town Pier and the Windjammer Wreck.
| If you wish, you can download, print and fill our liability release ahead of time following this link |
You will also pay your 25 US$ entrance fee into the Bonaire Marine Park with BDA and receive your plastic tag and proof-of-purchase paper slip.
Should you already be in possession of a current Marine Park Tag, you only need to complete the liability paperwork with the BDA office staff.
Then you will attend the Bonaire Marine Park orientation given by one of our staff members . This encompasses a tour of BDA and CGT facilities, such as dockside area, drive-by filling station and boat sign-up. CGT staff will also give an overview of the unique Bonairean shore diving topography and techniques.
This 30-45 minute program is followed by a warm-up orientation dive on Bari Reef, which can be accompanied by a Caribbean Gas Training staff member, if so desired.
